Volunteer/Membership

Membership in Rockville Little Theatre is open to everyone, with all levels of experience. All positions are volunteer and members contribute as much or as little time as they can.

RLT membership costs $10 a year and each member is required to work in some capacity on at least one show during the season. Members are entitled to see all of the RLT shows that season for FREE.

RLT is committed to training its members. If you have a desire to try out a specific position, we will be happy to pair you up with a more experienced member. No previous experience is necessary.

There are many different areas to work in. Some examples of positions that need no previous experience are:

Costume Coordinators
Props crew
Set construction
House management
Ushers
Dressers
Stage hands
Scenery painting
Assistant Stage Managers
Assistant Producer(s)

Positions that require some training are:

Lighting execution
Lighting design
Sound execution
Sound design
Properties Master/Mistress
Producer

Not all positions require physical labor. We always need volunteers to help usher, serve on various committees such as the Play Selection and Nominating committees, sell season tickets, etc. If you have any talents you'd like to offer or any you want to develop, we welcome people of all ages, types, temperaments and abilities.
