Auditions will include cold readings from the script, individually and in groupings. Please be prepared to list your conflicts (i.e, dates when you can’t attend rehearsals).

Violet Sheridan - Sculptor. Intelligent and strong-willed. (F - 20s)

Sherlock Holmes - In retirement. (M - 60s)

Charles Wellington Yorke - From an upper class family. Boyish, energetic, charming - but not free from the constraints of his background. (M - late 20s)

Mrs. Cyril Morton nee Violet Smith - Poised. A woman of deep feeling and some wealth. Fortyish, appears in flashback as a woman in her 20s. (F 20s-40s)

Irene Adler - Opera singer, actress, adventuress, now in her early 60s. Appears in flashback as a woman of 40. (F - 40s-60s)

Turlough O'Brennan - Flamboyant, possessed of a convincing charm and a good sense of humor. (M - 30s-mid-40s)

Lady Charlotte Carrington - Married to a peer of the realm. Upper crust sangfroid concealing passion and an adventuress spirit. (F - mid-40s)


Violet Sheridan, a young sculptress, is summoned to meet a retired Sherlock Holmes and learns some distressing information concerning her birthright. A case of blackmail puts in peril the life of Mr. Holmes as well as her parents, leaving Violet to deduce and out-wit to save Holmes and rescue her parents from danger. This gripping drama is sure to delight fans of the Sherlock Holmes canon as well as those new to the stories of Mr. Holmes.
